Being a country located right in the middle of the Equator, Malaysia’s weather is hot and humid. It is best to pack light cotton clothes for comfort. Although not restricted by law, it would ideal to dress conservatively, especially in more rural areas of Selangor as a sign of respect. It is also advisable to mind your valuables.
In general, Malaysians do not wear their footwear into their homes. And depending on the cultures, some of them eat with their hands.
